These campaign elements will highlight a few of the Trader Joe’s house brands and products. 

Their wide variety of out-of-the-ordinary items may be confusing or intimidating to newcomers, so these tactics are meant to spark the interest of potential consumers, promote a positive in-store experience and ultimately, make them want to return. 

Repeat customers make up a large portion of the store’s business, so it’s important to turn first-timers into brand-loyalists.

Reusable Shopping Bag
Trader Joe’s provides a free reusable shopping bag to new customers. Like the poster, the copy delivers the message of all of the different ways one can enjoy Cookie Butter, but ending with the obvious (and probably most likely) decision of just eating it out of the jar with a spoon. The reusable bag not only showcases the delicious product, it also encourages the user to come back. And any time the consumer uses the bag, whether at Trader Joe’s or not, it acts as a form of free advertising.
